My wonderful son just started Preschool this week. I can’t believe how time has flown and it’s time for preschool already! But he’s so ready. He loves to learn. But more then anything he loves the socializing.
He amazes us all the time! Right now he’s into the Presidents of the United States. It all started when we visited the local Lincoln Memorial a few towns over. Then he was hooked on Lincoln. So I bought a Place Mat at Kmart with the Presidents list, since Lincoln was on it. He took off from that! Last night he told us all the Presidents by heart. He only messed up at Cleveland, since he was President two different terms, he skips the second one.
This is him saying the Presidents from his place mat. He likes being able to look to say them but he can say them by heart. He also loves the photos of the Presidents and compares them to photos in other books.
I’ve learned more in the last month about Presidents then I ever did when I was in school! If I had to home school him, I’d have to learn a lot more!!
I thank God that he picked my husband and I to be blessed with this wonderful child!
he’s adorable!
honestly, i don’t know anything about the presidents and can
probably only name like 6 of them and definitely NOT in order.
you’ve got quite a smart cookie!
Great Blog
BTW I’m coming over from Shibley Smiles Relax and Surf Sunday
Hop;following you on GFC now
maybe you can visit me over at http://www.twoboysonegilrandacrazymom.com
I’m coming over from It’s So Very Cheri’s Blog Hop. What a fun
site. My “babies” started Junior High and High School this year.
It seems like just yesterday that they were in Preschool.
He’s a cutie! I love how he says Dwight B. Eisenhower, so cute.
That was one of the things I love about homeschooling is
learning all the new things. Especially in the early years when
you teach them how to read and write and they are so eager to
learn! Thanks for linking up to Making Your Home Sing Monday.
Cute video! I’ve been telling my husband that we have a child, I’m totally
getting all these placemats so our kid can learn stuff. It’s always easiest
to learn these things when you’re younger, and being able to put the name
with a face helps out a lot with not only being about to memorize but also
with retention.
Thanks for linking up last week for Friday Favorites!
