{Review} Big Boss Oil-Less Fryer

I am so thrilled to have this opportunity to review The Big Boss Oil-less Fryer.   You might have seen it on T.V. a time or two.  It’s a healthy alternative to frying.  What makes it so healthy you ask?  Well you can fry food with little to no oil and it cooks 3x faster.  It comes with the base, huge glass cooking dish, 2 wire racks in different sizes, mesh rack, heating element and timer, set of tongs, extender ring, oil spritzer bottle, user manual and recipe books.

The Big Boss Oil-Less Fryer is a healthy way to enjoy all your favorite foods! It leaves food moist on the inside and browned and crispy on the outside, without the use of added fats or oils. The energy efficient tabletop cooker combines halogen heat, convection and infrared technology. Halogen directly heats the surface of the food for browning, roasting and flavor. Convection circulates the hot air, evenly distributing the heat for faster cooking. Gentle infrared heat cooks from inside out, sealing in juices. Use it to roast turkeys, bake fish, broil steaks, air fry chicken, grill meats, toast breads, steam vegetables and even make dessert, all without preheating or defrosting. The glass dome allows you to see the cooking process. The lid’s tight seal keeps hot air inside, so the Big Boss Oil-Less Fryer will not heat up your kitchen.

We love our fried food here!  But I know how unhealthy it is for us.  So of course the first thing we made in it was “fried” chicken.  I cut a chicken breast up into the tenders and seasoned and floured them.  I placed them in the Big Boss Frier on the mesh rack.  I spritzed it with a little oil before starting the timer.  It took a little longer then I thought it would but it was worth the wait.  The chicken turned out really good.  Plus my son Jace loved it, which is saying a lot since he can be a picky eater.  He even asked me to make it again a few weeks later.

The Big Boss Oil-Less Fryer is very large in size.  So storage is a bit of an issue at our house.  We don’t have much storage space in the kitchen so I have to store it in the basement.  It very heavy and doesn’t seem to be cheaply made product. It does put off a lot of heat as it cooks.  In the winter months that’s a plus.  Not so much in the summer.

Over all I really like the Big Boss Oil-Less Fryer.  I plan on trying a turkey breast in it for Thanksgiving!
